Q: What does the website migration service include? Will my web site be secure?
A: When your present hosting provider can no longer match the requirements of your website, or if you go through frequent network downtime, or if you are made to wait for hours for the technical support team to get back to you, it might be smart to switch your hosting provider, i.e. to move all the files for your sites along with your databases from your current provider to your future provider. That is the reason why we’ll do all that for you at no cost!Our qualified technical team reps will transfer your website content from your current web hosting provider to us. Our techs have got plenty of experience with web site migration and can take care of everything – from a customary WordPress–powered weblog or Joomla™–powered web site, to a very complex, custom–made web app.

Q: How much time will the website migration procedure take?
A: We try to perform all website migrations ASAP. Even so, we do not have a fixed time frame for web site migrations. There are certain factors that you need to take into account – the actual size of your website and the workload of our web site migration staff, etc. We constantly try to implement each migration within 48 hours. With smaller sites, our staff typically manages to finish within 24 hours.

Q: Do you require something from me before you start moving my site?
A: We don’t request any private info. We will need, though, the login information for your old hosting account along with the name of the site that you wish to migrate.

Q: My current hosting account has sensitive data inside. How can I rely on you?
A: User privacy is indeed one of our principal responsibilities – for this reason, both our payment page and our Control Panel login page are protected with enterprise–class SSL certificates. We employ safety measures, which include, but are not limited to: physical, electronic and administrative operations to protect the data that we obtain online. And we also have a detailed and rigorous Privacy Policy, which describes the types of information that we gather.

Q: Will my site be offline during the transfer?
A: While we move your website, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your old web hosting provider. As soon as the transfer is over, we will make sure that everything is functioning properly and that the integrity of your web content is not jeopardized prior to telling you that the transfer is completed. After that, we’ll tell you how to transfer the domain name over to your web hosting account with us and how to change the DNS settings.

Q: Will my current hosting provider need to do anything?
A: Nah. We’ll never contact your hosting provider about anything. They will not be aware of the website transfer either.

Q: Does it make any difference what platform my current hosting provider is using?
A: Yeah. We support all traditional Linux–powered hosting platforms. We don’t support Windows–powered hosting platforms, because we don’t provide Windows hosting solutions ourselves.Additionally, we do not support proprietary website building and administration tools such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
